5 MEDIEVAL MOSQUES OF ANATOLIA WITH WOODEN PILLARS AND RAILS INCLUDED IN UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST

At the 45th UNESCO World Heritage Committee Meeting held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, after the ancient city of Gordion in Ankara, five of Anatolia's medieval mosques with wooden poles and beams, namely the Beyşehir Eşrefoğlu Mosque, Sivrihisar Ulu Mosque, Kasabaköy Mahmut Bey Mosque, Arslanhane Mosque and Afyonkarahisar Ulu Mosque, were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
While the historical mosques became Turkey's first serial cultural assets on the World Heritage List, the number of cultural assets on the list increased to 21.
